Typesetting

• 8 years of experience in book typesetting in InDesign: fiction, non-fiction, anthologies, poetry, memoirs, lots more.

• Complexities aren’t a problem! I’ve had some very creative typesetting projects in my career so if you have an ambitious design you’re a little overwhelmed by, I just may be able to help.

• Clients include: Charco Press, Scottish Book Trust, Dead Ink, Knights Of, Cipher Press, 3 of Cups, and more.

• Starting at £300 for a book. (Complexities (such as images, significant foot/endnotes, tables etc) and further changes may incur extra charges but I’ll always let you know if that’s the case.)

Ebooks

• Need your manuscript or typeset book turned into an ebook? Maybe for Kindle and Kobo and platforms? No problem! I am able to convert any Word or InDesign file into a fully functional ebook, whether in Amazon’s .kdp formats or the general .epub format.

• I’ll send you all formats for your use, fully validated and ready to be sold.

• Starting at:

  • £75 for a simple ebook.

  • £125 for a more complex ebook that includes endnotes, images etc.

Industry Expertise - Talks, conferences etc

I've appeared on numerous on panels about publishing and the book trade in general, appearing on BBC TV and radio talking about my various projects.

I've contributed to discussions and presentations for Publishing Scotland, the Bookseller's Association, the Society of Young Publishers, Creative Scotland, Scottish Book Trust and more.

I’ve also done visiting talks and lectures for universities across the UK. I'd be happy to take part in any panel or lecture about publishing in Scotland/UK, innovation, social media, production, crowdfunding, self-care in publishing in any and all combinations.
